Hi, I'm Caitlin ✌️

I’m a seasoned product designer specializing in 0 to 1 products and systems thinking. With 13 years in the field, I'm on a quest to create a better world for the individuals and communities behind products and systems. Currently @ Amazon.

Amazon Glow is a kid-focused video calling device with a projected play space that lets kids read, create, and play with family and friends, erasing the distance between them.

I lead design, strategy, and research for the core UX work stream, including overseeing work for 2 designers. I designed features such as video calling, device and app setup, and content browsing and discovery across hardware, software and native iOS and Android apps. Through collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal stakeholders—as well as external partners like Disney—Glow achieved a 4.5 star customer rating at launch.

Amazon's job posting board supports tens of thousands of open roles and serves millions of job seekers every day.

As the sole designer, I led the end-to-end design, strategy, and branding for a ground-up redesign of Amazon's job board. Together with Recruiting, Legal, Product, and Engineering stakeholders, we achieved delivery of a responsive website, simplified application form, and personalized job recommendations in fewer than 3 months.

Amazon's proprietary Applicant Tracking System is used by tens of thousands of recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers globally to manage and evaluate millions of job applications every year.

As one of two designers on the project, I drove end-to-end design and strategy for candidate and interview management features, accounting for ~90% of the site's daily usage. I partnered closely with Product, Design, Recruiting, Engineering, Legal, and Amazon Leadership  to streamline administrative tasks, allowing recruiters to spend less time doing menial work and more time supporting candidates.

During the course of this project, I helped grow the centralized UX team from 1 to 9 designers in under 2 years, directly overseeing the work of 3 designers. Without a Research team, I also developed and led the UX research practice for the team including process development, setting up tools, and providing coaching and resources. As a result, we captured and incorporated more than a thousand insights across 5 products.

Amazon Collect is a next-generation collections workbench streamlining the invoice-to-cash process for Amazon's multi-million dollar global accounts receivable operations.

As the lead designer for Collect, I drove research, strategy, and end-to-end design for Collect's most impactful features, including invoice management and automation of customer account statements. I partnered closely with Product, Engineering, and Finance stakeholders to drive features from requirements to implementation. At launch, Collect exceeded the adoption goal by more than 10% and had zero customer defects.
